Get Started Today

Individuals who are participating in Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Outpatient Programs, and Outpatient Counseling are eligible for the Peers Empowering Peers Program. Peers Empowering Peers works with individuals who are working to address their mental health and/or substance use needs. An individual’s mental health or substance use counselor can refer the individual to the program.
1. The referring counselor or provider SECURELY EMAILS the name and contact information of the individual being referred, a Release of Information, and the individual’s updated plan of care.
2. The referring provider must update the individual’s plan of care so that it includes WCS’ Peers Empowering Peers Program on it.
3. Individuals may self-refer to the program. The individual may EMAIL THE PROGRAM, call WCS at 414-914-9385, or present at WCS’ 27th and North Avenue location and request admission into the Peers Empowering Peers Program.
4. Our dedicated intake team will assist the individual gain access to the program. WCS’ dedicated enrollment team responds to all referring providers and reaches out to the individual to enroll them into the program.
Our Services & What to Expect


Peer Support & Recovery Coaching:
Each person is paired with a dedicated Peer Specialist to walk with the individual on their path of recovery and to provide a strong connection to recovery support groups, activities, and community resources.


Treatment Services:
To remain eligible for the program, individuals must be engaged in at least an outpatient level of care. Our team will assist unconnected individuals get the care they need.


Connection to Healthcare and Social Support Services:
We connect individuals to healthcare services including primary care, specialty care, psychiatric services, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to help individuals improve physical health and wellness. Our team also assists individuals access housing, food, clothing, child care and other essential needs.


Professional Team:
Individuals work with a team of WCS professionals who are committed to helping achieve personalized recovery goals. Our team coordinates services, provides resources and support along the way.
