Waukesha Alcohol Treatment Court is Saving Lives
Both WTMJ-TV Milwaukee and Wisconsin Public Radio recently featured stories about how the Waukesha Alcohol Treatment Court (ATC) truly saves lives.
A collaborative effort between Waukesha County and Wisconsin Community Services(WCS), the Waukesha ATC provides intensive supervision and case management of third and fourth offense drunk drivers post conviction with intensive judicial oversight. There is an emphasis on treatment in an effort to help offenders break the cycle of drunk driving, improve the chances of a sober and healthy life, and contribute to a safe community. It was the first alcohol treatment court in Wisconsin.
