4th Annual BMAC Community Resource and Job Fair - a Great Success!
The Wisconsin Community Services (WCS) Black Male Advisory Council (BMAC) hosted its 4th Annual Community Resource and Job Fair on August 15, 2018. 136 job-seekers from throughout the Milwaukee community attended, which brings the total number of African American males served since 2015 to 412.
This year, 33 vendors provided information about education and training opportunities, healthcare, parenting, driver's license recovery, and many other community resources. In addition, 23 local employers talked with attendees about immediate job opportunities. Many of the employers conducted interviews on-site and several participants have reported that they have already been hired as a result!
The fair also featured delicious food and fabulous local entertainment. More than 30 WCS employees volunteered their time to help make the event run smoothly.
THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS Cardinal Capital Management, Morgan Stanley and Best Ed Business for making this event possible!
