2016 BMAC Community Resource and Job Fair
The WCS Black Male Advisory Council (BMAC) hosted a Community Resource and Job Fair on Wednesday, August 31st in the WCS Conference and Training Center and parking lot at the facility located at 3732 W. Wisconsin Avenue. Hundreds of community members attended the fair which provided information on health, education, finances, employment, careers, fatherhood, nutrition and much more with the purpose of strengthening and improving the life prospects of African American men in our community.
The WCS BMAC was established in 2015 in response to a weeklong conference series which critically explored and discussed the plight of boys and men of color in the Milwaukee area community. A primary charge of the WCS BMAC is to examine ways that African American men (served by WCS and others in our community) can add value to themselves, their families and communities, and to make recommendations as to how WCS could be involved in such efforts.
