In order to improve the employability of African-American males, Wisconsin Community Services has contracted with
Milwaukee County to operate the Men of Color Project to train and/or place 140 men of color from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010.
To demonstrate the effectiveness of a job, a pilot project was developed through our membership in the African American Chamber of Commerce.
WCS partnered with member company Eaton Asphalt and Paving to train (5) men from the Department of Corrections,
Community Corrections Employment Program over a 12 week period. (see photos) plus the one already on the website.
